Virtual Dub 1.8.1: free solution for video editing

Another release of the popular utility to work with video took place. This is a free and very handy tool for editing digital video. Through this program you can cut and splice video, as well as impose additional filters to the image. One of the advantages of Virtual Dub is the possibility of cutting and splicing together video files without re-compression and, hence, without loss of quality.
The latest version significantly improves audio support, in particular, adds support of reading and recording VBR with correct timing, adds a built-in support of A-law, MP2 and MP3, the internal plug-ins work with VBR audio.
