Windows 7 will appear in 2010

Senior vice-president of Microsoft, Bill Veghte, in a letter to customers of the company said that the release of Windows 7 is scheduled for January 2010. The letter has a title "An Update on the Windows Roadmap", and tells that the company wants to release Windows 7 approximately three years after Windows Vista went on sale in January 2007.
According to Vegta, the cycle of three years for the production of the system was caused by the demand of users to have more reliable and predictable schedule for updating the system.
Particular attention in a letter was given to the problems of compatibility. Microsoft is not going from zero to deal with problems of compatibility in the architecture of new Windows, so the basis for Windows 7 architecture is derived from Vistaâ€™s one.
