Windows Genuine Advantage changes its name

Microsoft is going to change the name of its system of activating and authentication for Windows Genuine Advantage. Soon it will become known as Windows Activation Technologies. Windows 7 activation will be built on the same platform of software protection as in Windows Vista.
However, the brand of Genuine will not disappear completely - users of Windows XP will continue receiving updates and notifications from Windows Genuine Advantage.
