7-Zip 4.48 beta: small archiver with high potential

A new beta-version of 7-Zip archiver has been released. The program supports all common formats of archival files - ZIP, CAB, RAR, ARJ, GZIP, BZIP2, TAR, CPIO and RPM, and also, its own 7z format, which provides a very high degree of compression, and can compress files better than, for example, WinZip and WinRAR. 7-Zip is especially useful if you need to compress large files.
In the latest version they improved encryption capabilities for .7z format, corrected some errors.
