First service pack for Windows Vista: in 2008

The first Service Pack for the new operating system Windows Vista is likely to come out mo earlier than the next year.
Originally, Microsoft was supposed to release the first service pack for Windows Vista in the second half of this year. However, according to documents published recently on the Department of Justice site, the first beta-testing of the Pack for Windows Vista will begins at the end of this year. Thus, the final modification of SP1 is likely to appear only in the first half of 2008. However, the Microsoftâ€™s officials havenâ€™t given any comments on the date so far.
According to available information, the SP1 for Windows Vista will include additional drivers for devices with USB and FireWire interfaces, as well as patches for the vulnerabilities identified. In addition, SP 1may possibly have some innovations realized in the future server operating system, Windows Server 2008.
