Gmail improves security
21st July 2008
The developers of Gmail service advise users to pay attention to some new items, which they can notice in their accounts. All these innovations are related to security issues. First, in the bottom of the page there is the information on when the last time you entered through your account and whether it is opened on any other computer. Besides, Gmail shows IP-address at which the account is opened. This function will be useful for users who often check mail from different places and may forget to exit from the account. If you wish, you can quickly complete all sessions except for one. Also you can obtain more detailed information on the account use. Thus, clicking the link Details, you can see, from which IP-addresses you have recently obtained the access to Gmail and in what way (means of mobile phones, via POP3, etc.). This is a very useful function, which will help you to be sure that your account does is not used by someone else.
