New UserGate 4.2 - double scanning

Entensys company has introduced a new version of Proxy UserGate 4.2 with simultaneous support of anti-virus modules from "Kaspersky Lab" and Panda Software.
UserGate proxy server is a full-function solution allowing the administrator through flexible rules to organize the work of local network users in the Internet. UserGate keeps accurate traffic account through NAT driver, has a built-in firewall, port mapping, billing system and internet-statistics system.
The presence of two anti-virus modules will now provide the most complete checking the traffic for viruses. UserGate Administrator may select either to use one anti-virus module, or both simultaneously. In the latter case, you can specify the priority of each type of test traffic. For example, HTTP-traffic will be scanned first by "Kaspersky Lab, and then by the module from Panda Software. When transmitting FTP and e-mail traffic you can set your own check up order. Of course, double scanning of much information can affect the performance, thus, this solution is expected to be used for checking the most dangerous traffic. For example, HTTP needs the quickest scan, so you can use the engine with fresher databases. As for FTP traffic where speed is not the main factor, you can make double scan.
