New version of Skype for Linux
3rd July 2007
A new version of Skype for Linux has been released. A new beta-version, which has got the number 1.4, is the first in the last nine months. The main innovation of this release is redirecting of calls.
Besides, the program again has smileys (in the previous version the developers had to remove them because of the problems with the use of processor resources). The new version adds the support fro gilbc 2.3 systems, and also fixes many bugs.
Linux fans were often criticizing Skype for many defects, and also for the lack of many functions, which have long been available to Windows users. Perhaps, the new version will be to liking of Linux users.
