Opera 9.5 soon will be tested on
12th July 2007
The developers of the browser Opera have reported the near release of the open beta-version of Opera 9.5, the code-name of which is Kestrel. As it had been with previous versions, new beta-releases of Opera 9.5 will be published every week until the program will become sufficiently stable.
Among the innovations one can note the significantly improved visualization engine, support for CSS3 and SVG, new javascript engine with support for ECMAScript 4 “getters” and “setters”. Due to the fact that recently the developers asked users to include browser usage statistics, they know now what functions people are using more often and what - less. On the basis of this information, they made changes in the interface.
In Opera 9.5 they will also improve navigation on pages using the keyboard, add the support for devices, reading from the screen. And also, much attention will be given to the support for new platforms - Opera 9.5 will operate on 64-bit versions of Linux / FreeBSD.
