River Past Video Perspective 7.7.7: changing video format
23rd July 2008
The main purpose of this program is to change the format of displaying video. The main image formats that are used today are 4:3 (so-called LetterBox) and large-format 16:9. When launched on widescreen video in usual format looks somewhat differently than we are used to see it - all figures are incredibly thick. If you launch video in format of 4:3 on a large screen, subjects will become thinner. This happens because of the correlation variance of sides of images in different formats. River Past Video Perspective provides an opportunity to change the format of video images. When converting large-format video into common, edges of the picture will be cut off, but when converting video in LetterBox format into 16:9 format, on the contrary, black stripes will be added to the edges. This version has the opportunity to work with Matroska MKV and OGG Media OGM formats. There`s no information from the developer about the innovations of the latest version.
