SideShow technology of Microsoft company has already attracted great attention from users - it allows you to use various miniature devices as additional screens and tools managing desktop PC. Now, developers has released the first beta version of one of the most long-awaited software gadgets for this technology: new module allows you to manage multimedia centre with Windows Vista Media Center from PPC and smartphones. Through Windows Vista Media Center SideShow Gadget module the user can manage television viewing, set the time of telecast recording, and also watch a TV broadcast and switch the record manually, without interrupting watching of the current telecast. Also, without interrupting the watching you can get to know the list of already recorded broadcasts and select the needed telecasts for further watching - all these features are available on compact devices running under Windows Mobile. Musical component of the new gadget offers an opportunity of viewing the list of available music and the switching radio stations using additional screen or through a special remote control bar. There also provided convenient features for choosing images and video reels by using external remote control or PPC. Now Playing module provides all the information on played media at the additional screen of remote control or PPC - you can see information about the title and the length of the current file, and also about the time remaining until the end of play.
