trueSpace 7.6 as an alternative to Google SketchUP

A new version of 3D-editor trueSpace 7.6 has been released. Beginning from this release, the program is distributed for free. Remember that in February of this year trueSpace developer has been acquired by Microsoft Corporation. trueSpace will be an alternative to Google SketchUP, and its main purpose will be to work closely with the program Virtual Earth. One of the features of trueSpace is the opportunity to work on one project in virtual 3D space for several people. To do this it requires a high-speed Internet access. In doing so, for each participant in the project roles can be defined, and created parts can be protected from copying. In the latest version the presented the export to program Virtual Earth - now 3D-models, developed in trueSpace, can be immediately put to Virtual Earth maps. Besides, the exporter into X format has been completely rewritten, due to which you can load models to game engines like XNA. Besides, they improved tools for modeling, presented a new library of light sources, accelerated visualization.
