WinHex 14.2 SR-1: hex editor

A new version of the universal hexadecimal editor has been released. The program is very helpful, in particular, to recover data or deleted files from damaged hard drives, flash memory cards and other media. The program supports the following file systems: FAT, NTFS, Ext2 / 3, ReiserFS, Reiser4, UFS, CDFS, UDF, it contains various ways for recovery, has an editor of RAM. Other features include the analysis and comparison of files, flexible search and change capabilities, the support of ANSI ASCII, IBM ASCII, EBCDIC symbol sets, the support of large files, data backup.
To the latest version they added new mode “Detailed information”, there are now new browser columns, and they added the possibility to extract sketches from thumbs.db files, the possibility to select hidden files in a browser.
