YouTube offers means for editing videos
3rd July 2007
Subscribers of the popular service YouTube, when placing on the site of service of their own materials, can use now the special video-editor Remixer. YouTube Remixer is based on the package Adobe Premiere Express. By means of new tools users will be able to split video files into several fragments, and also combine reels with digital photos and audio records. Besides, the tools allow you to add to publishing or already published materials text, simple effects and other designing elements, such as frames, titles, and so on. It`s worth adding that applications similar to YouTube Remixer are already embedded in some Web-services. In particular, Photobucket and Yahoo Video have the similar tools. By the way, it should be noted that in the next month YouTube is going to begin testing a system, designed for struggling against the placing on the service site of pirate copies of materials. It is assumed that due to the new tools, the owner of rights of the placed video clip will be able either delete it or keep it on the service site. In the second case, YouTube will have to pay to the copyright owner the part of advertising profit. Disney and Time Warner will participate in the testing of the new technology.
