64 Studio 2.0: Linux distribution disks for the creative work

A new version of 64Studio distribution disks based on Debian Linux, code-named "Electric" (in honor of legendary Chicago Electrical Audio studio) has been released. This distribution disk is specially adapted to work with audio, video and printing.
64 Studio 2.0 is meant for ensuring full compatibility with Debian Etch platform and gives users a convenient and durable workstation for performing various creative tasks, says Linuxpr.com. This product combines stability and quality of the Etch platform, specially refined core with the division of priorities in real time, and the most advanced tools for designers of multimedia content. Modifications, made to Debian allow even inexperienced users for half an hour to begin productive work, having at hand only a computer with an empty hard disk. The package includes versions for AMD64/Intel64 platforms, as well as 32-bit versions.
When installing from DVD user of 64 Studio will have Debian Linux, graphics subsystem X.org, Gnome shell, the core 2.6.21 with the support of symmetric- multiprocessor systems and multi-core processors, as well as a set of applications needed for everyday work and creating multimedia projects. There is also a version of 64Studio 2.0 in the form of LiveCD, an abridged version of the system with a limited set of support tools, not requiring installation of the hard drive.
