Android SDK: beta version
20th August 2008
Open Handset Alliance has recently published a beta of Android SDK toolset for developers to create applications that will run under future pocket devices with an open platform Google Android.
If previous versions of SDK were considered “preview”, the new version 0.9 is in the beta status, which should show its stubborn moving to a commercial version.
A great deal of interest for the new version of SDK is due to the finished game Lunar Lander, principles of which remain unchanged since 70-ies.
In addition to the game Lunar Lander, the new version of Android SDK has a new basic application Home Screen, new examples of user applications like alarm clock, chat, music player, etc., as well as new subsidiary development utilities, including a tool of graphic XML-files viewer for users of Eclipse.
