Autodesk Mudbox 2009 turns designers into real sculptors

The company Autodesk has announced the release of the package Autodesk Mudbox 2009 for modeling three-dimensional models and drawing textures.
The package of Autodesk Mudbox 2009 combines user-friendly interface and extensive tools for creating three-dimensional models with the highest level of detail. With this package designers and artists can get apart from the technical aspects of design: the work of the package is close to the work of a sculptor.
Autodesk Mudbox 2009 includes tools for drawing textures directly at finished models. Support of OpenGL can immediately display preliminary results of rendering. Also Mudbox 2009 expands compatibility with different packages Autodesk Maya and Autodesk 3ds Max. Autodesk Mudbox 2009 has already been appreciated by designers in many films and games (e.g., Mass Effect).
Mudbox 2009 is going to go on sale in October 2008, recommended retail price is $745.
The project runs under Microsoft Windows XP Professional & Vista.
