Craigslist Asked To Shutter The Services Of Adult
30th August 2010
One group of the 17 attorneys general are now calling on the Craigslist for the sake of taking down its section of the adult services by saying that the site is rampant with the ads that are used for the adults and the child prostitution. The request of the state prosecutors was sent in a letter which was sent on Tuesday to the chief executive of the craigslist - Jim Buckmaster and also to the founder Craig Newmark. It has been claimed by the attorneys general that the Craigslist has shown that it is not able to or would not screen the illicit ads and there it should be shutting down the section of the adult services.
It was said in the letter that the increasingly sharp criticism of the public about the section of the adult services of the Craigslist shows an increased recognition that the ads for the prostitution are rampant on it, which includes the ads that are trafficking the children. It further said that in their view, the company should be taking all of the immediate action for ending the misery of the women as well as of the children who might be exploited as well as victimized by this kind of ads.
