Devil May Cry suffers from piracy
11th August 2008
Capcom representatives complained that piracy leaves them no opportunities to sell more copies of Devil May Cry 4. In the American retail the new product turned out much worse than it was originally anticipated. Christian Svensson from Capcom sincerely regrets that this really good version of the product does not bring decent revenue. The developer points out that he himself proposed to distribute the project digitally, but the Japanese Capcom office rejected his proposal.
Given the current popularity of digital distribution services, it is rather strange to hear about such decision of the company, because it is new channels that help to fight against piracy a little.
It should be recalled that Devil May Cry 4 appeared on PC not so long ago. Earlier, the project was released under PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
