Representatives of Kotaku had a talk with an executive director of id Software, Todd Hollenshead and attempted to learn at any details about the next game in the series of Doom.
According to the developer, action of Doom 4 (that is the informal name) is set in the universe Doom, t.i. game is not necessarily a continuation of Doom 3. The shooter is being developed by the main team of the studio. Kevin Cloud is responsible for the project.
Now the studio is working on the plot. As we already know, technologically the game is based entirely on Tech 5. The gameplay remains the same as in the original, although the team wants to make certain innovations to the project.
