Firefox 2 will be supported until the end of the year

On page of Firefox 2, the predecessor of Firefox 3, the report has appeared on the date of cessation of supporting the second version.
Already in December this year Mozilla will stop releasing updates and patches for browsers of the series Firefox 2. Many users of the second version still hesitate to move to the new version out of various reasons: someone simply does not need new features; someone requires the usual extensions, not yet issued under Firefox 3; and someone simply does not have the needed hardware, while the second version copes with the tasks assigned. Despite the fact that the second version of Firefox is still extremely popular with a lot of users, Mozilla all the same decided to abandon it for good.
This decision is not at all a surprise as the company treated all previous versions of their child quite the same way.
Thus, all users of Firefox have no choice but get accustomed to the third version as the only have 3 months left.
