FlexScan3D: 3D-scanner out of projector and digital camera

3D3 Solutions Company has presented an original solution called FlexScan3D, which will quickly and with no effort convert real-world objects into high-quality 3D-models.
All you need is an LCD projector and a digital camera: you will be able to produce models of various objects and import them into three-dimensional modeling systems for further processing. FlexScan3D allows creating images of most difficult surfaces (consisting of millions of points), but permissible errors occurred when scanning will not exceed one hundredth of an inch.
Of course, the proposed method does contain some drawbacks. For example, the system provides the opportunity to scan only the front part of the object. However, these flaws can be easily solved by means of the software Leios Mesh included into the package.
