Gadgets To Be Powered By Energy Drinks

Biofuel cells, which are the lookalikes of batteries, are thought to be powered by energy drinks or even with the help of vegetable oil, in the near future. At the meeting of the American Chemical Society in the US, a prototype of this cell has been shown and described. The power stations in most of the living cells known as mitochondria are going to be used in the development of these cells. It is being believed that the application of these cells may take years, but this work is going to be a milestone, as it is going to be the integration of living cell into an electric device.

According to Shelley Minteer, of St Louis University in Missouri US, these devices would be helpful in replacing disposable batteries in the near future. Initially, this replacement would be done in some of the applications.

It has been years, since when Dr Minteer has been working on the projects of borrowing some of the workable and efficient tricks of nature, in order to produce energy. Basically, the whole process focuses on the breaking down and reconstruction of molecules into smaller bits, which can be used by the energy producing cells.
