Kaspersky Lab makes its own rating of malware

Specialists of Kaspersky Lab published rating of malicious programs for July this year. This report has been the first to use results of work of Kaspersky Security Network (KSN) for estimating current threats. It is a new technology, realized in personal products version 2009.
It should be noted that by the end of July 2008 personal products of version of 2009 have not yet been formally presented in some countries, e.g., Russia and the United States. Thus, this review objectively reflects the actual situation in most countries of Europe and Asia.
As a result of KSN work, in July 2008 40 viruses were found. The first 20 one is a top most common malicious, advertising and potentially dangerous programs on the number of computers on which they were found (in percentage).
The rating shows that the most common threats are Trojans.
Total number of unique threats found on computers in July, was 20704.
