According to the developers of the latest project called Diaspora, the alternative to Facebook, is going to be launched on 15th September. The developers of this network have said that this social networking website is going to be a representative and guardian of, privacy aware personally controlled platform for its users. Earlier this year, this open source network becomes prominent in headlines. And that was the time, when Facebook was facing criticisms related to its complex and overly confusing privacy settings, which were asked to be simplified.
This latest project has been developed by 4 US students. And this has successfully raised around $200,000. According to the team, this open source network is going to be available for the each and every person right from 15th September onwards. Four of them have worked hard throughout summer and have got success in developing a clear and contextual sharing platform.
Three computer geniuses and one mathematician from New York started off with the work on this project. Their idea and concept got a boost at the time, when the social networking giant called Facebook faced a lot of criticism. One of the founders of this network has said in an interview that he and his team members want to give the users complete control over the information they want to share.
