Microsoft releases beta of NET Micro Framework 3.0

Microsoft Corporation has announced the beginning of public testing a new version of the popular product, intended to develop and launch applications on embedded systems.
The environment of .NET Micro Framework (.NET MF) requires about 300 kilobytes of memory and can run both under the operating system and under bare hardware. NET MF allows simultaneous running no more than one application, but supports multithreading technologies.
.NET Micro Framework 3.0 for the first time was exhibited in June at a conference of developers Microsoftâ€™s TechEd and, according to the manufacturerâ€™s promises, is now on the stage of the beta release.
Talking about the new version, it is worth while mentioning an extended support of web-services for portable devices with limited resources of processor and memory.
