NVIDIA CUDA 1.0: developing applications using resources of graphics processor

The NVIDIA Company has announced availability of the package NVIDIA CUDA 1.0, a toolkit for developing applications using resources of the graphics processor NVIDIA GPU for performing various calculations, reports Kauppalehti.fi.
This package includes an elaborated C compiler showing increased performance. Users are also offered a library CUDA BLAS and FFT, the functionality of which has been significantly broadened, and code samples, responsible for certain specific functions (such as financial calculations and processing medical images).
Developers can download SDK- toolkit for free from the site : http://www.developer.nvidia.com/object/cuda.html.
At the moment this development environment supports 32-bit versions of Linux and Microsoft Windows XP OS and 64-bit Linux platforms.
