QuakeCon 2008: Doom 4, Quake Live, Rage

As it was anticipated, during QuakeCon 2008 a large-scale presentation of id Software took place, during which we learned a lot about designs and plans of the famous company. The most important information learnt at the event:
John Carmack said that Doom 4 would surpass in quality of graphics not yet released game of Rage. The fourth part of the famous shooter is based on the technology Tech 5.
High quality of Doom 4 graphics will affect the game performance: maximum 30 frames per second;
Doom 4 will contain weapons, blood and demons;
Id Software is not intended to distribute Rage and Doom 4 in the digital form;
Xbox 360-version of Rage is most likely to be delivered on three DVD;
Valve Software advised id Software to sign a contract with Electronic Arts;
The studio makes big bet on Quake Live. This free multiplayer game will contain elements that can be modified.
Unfortunately, there are no more details about Doom 4 from the developers.
