Ragnarok Online will be ported to Nintendo DS
11th August 2008
After seven years of being a PC-exclusive, the Korean multiplayer game Ragnarok Online, attracting about 7 million users, is going to move to DS. This is not particularly surprising, given that this is the most popular MMORGP in Japan. The transfer will be held by the recently formed studio GungHo Works (a branch of GungHo Online Entertainment).
The gameplay has not been changed, but a little to make the plot campaign more accessible. In the single you play for the hero named Ares, who wants to found his own guild and become a great adventurer, like his father.
Of course, the console version also has an advanced network mode. Three people can be united via Wi-Fi and play.
Ragnarok Online DS will appear in Japan on December, the 18th, 2008. First screenshots of the game are already available over the net.
