The Company Pixar Animation Studios has released a new version of RenderMan Pro Server 13.5. This is the most famous visualizer, which has been being used in the production of special effects since 1985. By means of this tool all animated films by studio Pixar were visualized, it was also used to create a large number of projects, where computer graphics was used, in particular "Pirates of the Caribbean ", "The Da Vinci Code”, "Superman returns", etc.
The new version of the visualizer is optimized for batch rendering, for the most efficient use of memory and system resources. This is particularly useful for multiprocessor systems. The developers focused on the time of depth of field effects calculation, as well as stereo visualizing and calculation with the use of photon trace.
RenderMan Pro Server 13.5 is available for Windows XP, Linux and Mac OS X.
