Service pack for Vista flew away to Internet

A new assembly of the first service pack for Windows Vista has flown away to the world network.
According to PC World, Microsoft sent out another version of the service pack among selected testers at the end of last week. However, pretty soon Edition SP1 6.0.6001.16633 (longhorn.070803-1655) appeared in some peer networks operating through protocol BitTorrent.
The recently flew away service pack assembly is relatively compact, about 684 MB. For comparison, the size of the earlier beta-version flew this month into file-exchange networks is 3 GB. This modification was distributed in the form of the .iso file containing software platform Windows Vista with added service pack.
The new assembly is an executable .exe file. This is somewhat surprised beta testers, many of whom believed that Microsoft will distribute its service pack in the new format .msu. This format, already used for current corrections supports only Windows operating systems Vista and Windows Server 2008. Users, already downloaded and installed SP1 6.0.6001.16633 indicate that the installation process requires at least three computer restarts.
Microsoft Corporation has not yet named the exact date for the final release of service pack. But, apparently, it will be the end of the year. Meanwhile, many corporate customers follow the analysts recommending no upgrade to Windows Vista until the first service pack comes out.
