SIGGRAPH 2007: NVIDIA demonstrated visualizer Gelato 2.2

NVIDIA Company at the exhibition SIGGRAPH 2007 showed a new version of visualizer Gelato 2.2. This visualizer was originally designed for creating visual effects and animation in fiction movies, but is now available for anyone who works with NVIDIA video cards. Renderer uses powers of a graphical adapter, which makes it possible to visualize images faster than when using conventional renderers. Gelato includes plugins for use with 3ds Max and Maya.
Among the latest innovations:
Increased speed of visualization;
new algorithm of calculating multiple reflections and improved smoothing;
better calculation of the undersurface dissipation;
an improved textures converter;
Support of Maya Hair in Mango, a new shader for Shave and a Haircut, and a shader for a creating velvet;
support for Windows XP Professional x64.
