Social Networks Now the New Social Spot of Oldies
31st August 2010
Social networks including Facebook, Twitter, Orkut, are no doubt the biggest hypes among all the youngsters, not just in regard to having fun, but to stay in touch with all the family and friends twenty four hours a day and seven days a week.
This seems pretty obvious when thinking about the youngsters, but the recent survey has revealed that now the older folks are not behind and there number too is increasing on the social networks. Last year according to one study carried on by Pew Internet, 22 percent people in the age of 50 have been found to be using the social networks, but the percentage has increased rapidly up to 42 percent.
The overall percentage goes like 86 percent users of social networks lie between the age range of 18-29, 61 percent 30-49 and the rest of the statistics are of the parents and grandparents, whom we called oldies. It is likelier to say here that the reason behind such an increase in the use of social networks for people of all ages is basically because it's the best way to stay in touch with everyone you want to and also the cheapest way as well.
