Spammers crack clipboard using Flash-banners
21st August 2008
Spammers and cyber-frauders day in day out elaborate more and more smart ways of distributing malware. Recently, hackers have learned to attack a clipboard by means of vulnerability in Adobe Flash.
Into the taken under control clipboard a link to a web-site is placed where users are invited to buy a false anti-virus software. The link can not be removed from the buffer and does not allow copying any other text into it. The only way out, according to the victims, is to reboot the PC.
The dangerous code is distributed via advertising flash-banners, which can be found even at proven resources. All users are recommended to use adware blockers like AdBlock, FlashBlock, NoScript, etc.
This kind of hacker attacks have already touched holders of Windows and Macintosh systems, using browsers Firefox, IE and Safari.
