Tech Giants Sued By Paul Allen Over Patent Violations

Paul Allen, the co-founder of Microsoft has taken the decision of suing a number of high-tech giants. This decision has taken against those, which have infringed its patents. The legal action, which Paul Allen has taken against a number of technology giants including Google, Apple, Facebook, Yahoo, eBay and six more companies, has focused on the issue of its patent infringement.
Mr. Allen has said that the patents are the foundation and play major role, in terms of the working and functionality of the websites and ecommerce. On the other hand, Google, eBay and Facebook have responded against these acquisitions. A spokesperson of Google has said that this lawsuit, which has targeted some of the major and most innovative companies, has just shown that now the companies would start off with the competition inside courtrooms and not in the marketplace anymore.
He also said that it is innovation and not legal actions, through which those products can be manufactured and launched in the markets, which would be beneficial and useful for millions and billions of people. This suit is filed in the US District Court in Washington. The names of other companies, which have also been targeted by this lawsuit, include AOL, Netflix, Office Depot, YouTube, Stapies and OfficeMax.
