What's better? Desktop System or Laptop
30th August 2010
Few years back when I was going to join my computer studies, my father gifted me a personal computer that certainly helped me the most in pursuing my studies in a very beneficial manner. I used to sit on my desktop system for hours to complete my assignments, but sometimes I got frustrated when I was in my college and I had to go back home knowing that I have forgot to save my assignment in my USB, and now I will have to go back home in order to get that from my desktop computer.
Then came the hype of laptops, as the prices of laptops became bit reasonable, and as now I was able to afford to purchase the comfort, so I bought a stylish laptop home. It made my life easy, as now I was able to carry it and move around without any hassle. That time, I thought that the desktop systems are just a mess to use and are outdated.
Now that I am a professional, and I am into different tasks; I realize that the usage of desktop systems for business users is simply unavoidable, and with the option to change features at ease, most of the companies give desktop computers to their employees in order to complete different high level projects. They are more affordable and easy to maintain compared to a laptop. If there comes a flaw in the hardware, then the replacement is easily available and of course the server room of my company totally relies on desktop systems.
