Wi-Fi on board American planes: coming next year

The company American Airlines meets is going in the beginning of the next year to start testing the new system of wireless connection together with the Internet provider AirCell on board the airplane committing flights from New York to California.
The idea itself is not new, as similar service was promised by the Boeing Company last year, but soon the project was rejected. Maybe last year such service was merely not so needed, but day in day out the access to the Internet at any time and from any location, including airplanes is growing more and more necessary, thus, encouraging airline companies and providers.
So, they are beginning to seriously organize wireless internet connection on board the airplanes, taking into consideration, that this becomes more than available due to the new technologies. For operating in the network AirCell, it will be necessary to set some stations on the earth and three antennas outside the plane, two at the bottom and one on top. According to News.yahoo.com, the approximate cost of wireless access to the Internet in the air will be about $ 10. This cost is quite moderate if you take into account that typically the companies pay for such services for businessmen, traveling the country on business. In the near future Internet connection in the air will be the common practice, not only on beard the United States aircrafts.
