Windows Phone 7 Gets An Increase Of $400 Million
30th August 2010
Microsoft would be spending at least an amount of $400 million for the sake of promoting its Windows Phone 7, which is the operating system for the mobiles which many view as the last chance of the Redmond for becoming a legitimate player in the arena of the smartphone. The estimate of the spending, which has not been confirmed by Microsoft, comes from the analyst Jonathan Goldberg of Deutsche Bank. According to Techcrunch, Goldberg said that this is a situation of make or break for them and they would need to do whatever it is going to take for the sake of staying into the game. He further said that it is still open widely. They would not have to take share from the Android to Apple, so long as they would be able to attract enough of the consumers that are switching from feature phones.
Despite of the marketing blitz, Steve Ballmer - the CEO of Microsoft, has told that they should be tempering their expectations when it would be coming to the prospects of the sales for the Windows Phone 7. Ballmer said that a number of the people had a chance to ask him this kind of questions which is how they are going to do this.
