Wolfenstein RPG & Doom 2 RPG under iPhone: how soon?

John Carmack is extremely disappointed that id Software happened to be out of human and financial resources to release games for iPhone App Store. An executive director of id, Todd Hollenshead says that many employees have already viewed iPhone SDK, but have not yet had time to collect a full product.
Now the company is working on Doom 2 RPG and Wolfenstein RPG for mobile phones. id Software want to port both products to iPhone, says Hollenshead, but as for the date, it is difficult to assume anything so far. Given the quality of iPhone, games also need to be extremely well, so that they can compete with other capabilities of the popular phone. Thus, the professionals will have a lot of work to do before their products go to App Store.
Meanwhile, we have to be satisfied with not very qualitative porting Quake under iPhone.
