Yahoo, Google Update Ipad Email User Interface
25th August 2010
Google has started using HTML 5 in order to increase the version of Gmail which is browser-based and is for both of the iPad as well as for iPhone. The most recent update has made some improvements that how the users would be interacting with multiple conversations. It has been explained by Google in one blog post that it actually needed to reduce the frustration and confusion of the users. It has been said by Google that in the past times, performing the actions on some of the selected conversations was somewhat awkward. There were two same kinds of toolbars on the screen: one was present on the bottom left and the other was present on the top right corner. The former has affected the selected conversations whereas the latter has affected the conversations that are open currently. Since the buttons of the toolbars looked similar, it was quite easy to use the wrong toolbar mistakenly.
It was further said that in the new interfaces, some of the selected conversations are displayed that are stacked on the right panel which is used for easy organizing, deleting or archiving. The second toolbar is not present anymore and is gone so it is always quite clear which conversations you are currently working with.
