ATI Catalyst 7.9: new drivers

New drivers for ATI video cards have come out. The drivers are meant for video cards of series Radeon HD 2900 HD 2600, HD 2400, X1950, X1900, X1800, X1600, X1300, X1050, X850, X800, X700, X600, X550, X300, 9800, 9700, 9600, 9650 and 9500. Drivers run under Windows XP and Windows Vista (32-bit and 64-bit versions).
This version of Catalyst Control Center has a utility Avivo Video Converter for Windows Vista (64 bit), designed to convert video files. The utility supports a variety of input formats and can convert video into MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4/DivX, WMA, H.264/AVC. Another innovation of this release is management of color temperature from Catalyst Control Center. This option is supported for video cards of series ATI Radeon X1000 and Radeon HD 2000.
It also worth while noting, that performance in some games has been increased: Far Cry, Call of Duty 2, Half-Life 2, Serious Sam 2 when working with Video HD2600XT and HD2400XT, including in the CrossFire mode.
