BusinessObjects Metadata Management XI 3.0

The company Business Objects has reported on the availability of a new version of BusinessObjects Metadata Management XI 3.0, designed for centralized management of metadata within the enterprise. Thanks to combining metadata from disparate corporate systems and sources in a single repository, the system allows more productive work with the organization information resources.
Metadata Management XI 3.0 includes the first in the industry “metapedia”, a kind of encyclopedia, which simplifies the search for meta-data to business users. “Metapedia” uses understandable to users terms and wordings to describe metadata, while the data are stored in an order and may be designated by belonging to a specific subject area or an organizational unit. Specialists in various areas will be able to create their own “metapedias” and deal with their filling.
The proposed solution integrates with the industry-leading platform of business analysis BusinessObjects XI 3.0. This integration simplifies the process of administrating the system Metadata Management XI 3.0, and also allows IT professionals to use built-in protection tools of BusinessObjects XI 3.0.
