CodeGear RAD Studio 2007 provides rapid applications development (RAD) for high-performance .NET and Windows solutions based on databases

New RAD environment helps independent software developers and groups of developers in their switching to Windows Vista.
CodeGear company, a leader in developing software complexes for developers, announced the other day the release of CodeGear RAD Studio 2007, a new version of the rapid applications development (RAD) for Microsoft Windows. The new product is intended for a more rapid and effective developing powerful Windows and .NET- databases applications.
The product CodeGear RAD Studio, formerly known as "Highlander", combines Delphi for Win32, C + + Builder and new Delphi .NET 2.0 into a single integrated environment. It is the only integrated development environment (IDE) that supports rapid development of both Windows and .NET applications for Microsoft Windows 2000, XP, and Vista. This universality allows developers to build Web, client / server and desktop Windows applications for all three OS, and use these applications on any of these platforms.

Among the new features of CodeGear there are:
Expanded support of Delphi for user interface Microsoft Vista Aero, including applications, visual components library (VCL) and support of VCL.NET for 3D effects and user interface animation, transparency effects, components of dialog windows for working with files and tasks.
Support of Delphi for development in the Microsoft .NET 2.0 environment(compatible with. NET 3.0) and ASP.NET 2.0. ASP.NET is a set of technologies under. NET framework for creating Web applications and XML Web services.
Delphi for .NET supports parameterized types, allowing .NET developers to use Delphi for developing and utilizing classes using any type of data structures as parameters.
Blackfish SQL is a databases server, completely written in the .NET platform, which supports SQL and ensures easy XCopy deployment, support of transactions, as well as creating triggers and stored procedures in the language .NET (Delphi.NET, C #, and Visual Basic.NET ).
Enterprise Core Objects (ECO) IV is a powerful environment for Model-Driven Development for .NET 2.0. ECO allows developers to use visual diagrams for building objects, communication and logic of interaction between them, and then automatically builds and maintains a database infrastructure (using Microsoft ADO.NET) and data interaction interface, leaving the developer to care only about business-logic and appearance of the application.
CodeGear RAD Studio 2007 will come out in September in English, German, French and Japanese. Professional version will cost $1199, and upgrading earlier versions of products Borland Developer Studio, Delphi, C + + Builder, or Turbo Professional will cost $ 549. Enterprise version will go on sale at a price of $ 2499 for new users and $1,699 for customers wishing to upgrade earlier versions of Borland Developer Studio, Delphi, C + + Builder Enterprise or Professional.
