Corel VideoStudio Pro X2: program for home users

The company Corel has released a new version of VideoStudio Pro X2, formerly known as Ulead VideoStudio Pro. The program is designed for video processing and serves as a simple solution for home users.
The latest innovations include the support of Blu-ray Disc Movie Video (BDMV). Users can import BDMV files directly from Blu-ray-video cameras, work with HD-video, add animated menus and record projects to Blu-ray disks, including double-layer ones. VideoStudio Pro X2 supports capturing, editing, authoring and saving video in HDV, AVCHD, TOD (cameras JVC HD) and BDMV.
Especially for editing HD-video, the function of work with proxy files has been improved in VideoStudio Pro X2. VideoStudio Pro X2 also has a new codec H.264, supports import and export of video from Apple iPhone and iPod Touch, improves uploading video on YouTube, and improves work with 2 and 4 core Intel processors.
The new functions, relating to video editing, include Painting Creator module to draw over the video and record user movements, a new collection of filters to imitate various defects characteristic of old films, etc...
Corel VideoStudio Pro X2 is sold at a price of $ 99.
