Dr. Web offers new utility to fight against trojan-extortioner

The company “Dr. Web” informed users on a new version of Trojan.Encoder.20, which compared with Trojan.Encoder.19 has the changed mechanism of encryption and key generation.
It should be recalled that on 13 August the company “Dr. Web” reported on the emergence of a trojan program that leaves a text file crypted.txt with the requirement to pay $10 to for a decoding program. Dr. Web classified the program as Trojan.Encoder.19.
In early September, experts of the abovementioned company found a new version of the Trojan, which changed the mechanism of encryption and key generation. In one version there is the requirement to pay â‚¬30 in another - $89. Like the previous version, the new Trojan spreads via contaminated sites, taking advantage of vulnerabilities of Internet browsers.
