First alpha version of MySQL Workbench 5.1 for Linux

In the mailing announcements of MySQL there was a report that the first alpha version of MySQL Workbench 5.1 for GNU / Linux is available.
MySQL Workbench is a is heir of the famous product DBDesigner 4 from FabForce. It is the application for visual databases design. MySQL Workbench 5.1 Alpha 1 so far has only basic capabilities such as saving/downloading models, import/export SQL-files, as well as a set of basic editors for modeling data structures. The developers warn that the alpha version lacks certain important opportunities and the user interface is still far from being perfect.
Open and free (OSS) version of MySQL Workbench for Linux is already available for free downloading in various formats.
