The prompts service Google Suggest is already beyond its beta stage and Google Labs. Previously, Google Suggest was available when working with Google Toolbar, Firefox search box, in search by maps for some countries, as well as on YouTube. Now you can work with it at the homepage of the search engine. Since now, Google Suggest will be available at google.com by default.
The essence of Google Suggest is that in the process of typing a search request the system analyzes first letters and offers variants for continuing a word or a phrase, based on the most popular search requests. Request variants appear in the drop-down list.
In selecting prompts, the system is based on the total number of user requests, rather than on those requests, typed earlier by a specific user. Google Suggest has several objectives: helps to formulate requests, accelerates typing, and also reduces the number of misprints.
