The multi-player game World of Warcraft (WoW) has been successfully functioning since 2004. Day in day out, it becomes more difficult to support this MMO-colossus. There is a need to constantly monitor what is happening, keep in working order multiple servers, pay for advertising, distribution and so on. A question may arise: how much money has Blizzard already spent on World of Warcraft? Kotaku has the answer: more than $ 200 million! This figure was voiced during the conference of Activison/Blizzard.
This sum of $ 200 million includes absolutely all costs: staff, hardware, work with clients. However, given the considerable proceeds from sales of the game and monthly subscription fees, it is understandable that the project remains profitable.
