IBM expands family of products Internet Security Systems

IBM has announced adding of its own portfolio of solutions Internet Security Systems (ISS), including tools of protecting corporate networks from various types of threats.
The proposed solutions will help to reduce existing risks, to provide security of virtual infrastructures, to guarantee protection of invested capital and to organize work taking into account specifics of organization. IBM Proventia Network Virtual Intrusion Prevention System (VIPS) Appliance is a virtual device that can be deployed on existing hardware. The system of preventing invasions is the first product released under the global initiative PHANTOM, the main task of which is to provide modern enterprises with qualitative remedies of virtual environments. Virtual devices ofVIPS work under VMWare, and can easily boast ease of deployment and use.
Another hardware solution, called IBM Proventia Network Security Controller (NSC) will ensure protection of previous investments during transition to high-speed communication channels. The system NSC will allow organizations to adjust the existing Proventia family devices for traffic control in 10-gigabit networks.
The product of IBM Proventia Network Enterprise Scanner provides reliable protection against attacks by identifying vulnerabilities in IT infrastructure and assigning them with different levels of priority.
The new version of IBM Proventia SiteProtector 7.0 is meant to give the possibility of centralized management of corporate security infrastructure and assess its effectiveness from a single console.
Finally users are offered the utility Client Security Readiness Tool to enable experts to quickly and easily assess the level of protection of the client infrastructure.
