Lotus Symphony 1.1: free office from IBM

The company IBM has released a new version of the free office package Lotus Symphony. Lotus Symphony includes the programs of Symphony Documents, Symphony Presentations and Symphony Spreadsheet. Lotus Symphony runs under Windows (XP, Vista) and Linux (Suse Enterprise, Red Hat 5). Symphony can work with different formats of documents, including those used in MS Office. By default, documents are saved into ODF. Documents also can be saved from the program into PDF.
The latest version reduces memory consumption, adds new opportunities for batch of letters composing, improves work with macros, compatibility with Lotus Notes, updates the help file.
Symphony package is available for free download, but users must register and get a free number IBM ID.
